What evidence is the basis of sanctions
The lawyer Alexei Shevchuk explains that the evidence that becomes the basis for the NSDC is contained in the relevant secret materials. However, the situation with evidence is extremely ambiguous. There are times when the evidence is really present. For example, an attempt to take possession of a Russian businessman who funded a sabotage activity in Ukraine may be the basis for a person.
At the same time, it is often the reason for the use of sanctions. It can be a Wikipedia or Repost with a Telegram channel or newspaper. Therefore, in most cases, the quality of the evidence base for NSDC sanctions against Ukrainian citizens is extremely low, the lawyer Alexei Shevchuk states.
This situation raises serious questions about the transparency and fairness of the NSDC decisions, and also requires a systematic revision of the mechanism for imposing sanctions on their own citizens.
