We bow our heads. Fan, coach, wolf pack commander died in Bakhmut

Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honored the memory of people whose lives took away the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today Sport.ua mentions Alexander Filon, Kovel fan, a hand-to-hand coach, who fought since 2014 in Azov, and died exactly two years ago, on June 28, 2023, 25-year-old, as a commander of the fire support of the Wolf.

Life path and trace in sports Alexander Philon was born on July 17, 1997 in Kovel in Volyn, studied at the local school № 8, attended the military-patriotic camp “Volyn Sich”, played sports.

In 2019, Alexander graduated from Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, where he was qualified “Bachelor of Physical Education, Physical Culture Teacher”.

From a young age, the guy was a member of the fan movement of the team of hometown – FC Kovel.

Philon was known as a public activist, a leader, a purposeful person. He was able to ignite, organize, combine. Alexander was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity, a soldier of a separate detachment of special purpose “Azov”, the head of the public organization Civilian Corps “Azov-Kovel”, Kovel branch of the “National Corps”, chairman of the youth council at Kovel City Mayor. Alexander founded and headed the Vatra’s youth hub. At the age of 24, the man fulfilled his dream – opened in Kovel at the Sich Sports Club for a hand -to -hand combat (combat hop), where he taught children this martial art.

Death From the first day of the full -scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Alexander stood up for the state. The army had a call sign. Initially, Alexander was in territorial defense, then fought in the third separate assault brigade – he was the commander of the platoon of fire support of the Wolf Ploi unit, created by veterans of the Azov regiment. In May 2023 he received a vacation, after which he returned to the front.

Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Philon participated in the fierce battles for the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region for several months, where he died on June 28, 2023.

“I never thought I would write this text. My loved one, my support and support, died in battle. There will be no more such people worthy of their land. You died, protecting our country so we can live. He was a worthy commander, honestly did his job. We planned so much: children, finish repairs, go to the honeymoon. You did not even work, went for the second time on February 24. You are the most prominent, the most valuable I had. And now there are only memories and your things. I write it and I do not want to believe. I was most afraid of this call. My related soul, you understood me like no one, always supported, was nearby, even if far, I always felt it. Let us remember, let’s take revenge, ”Anna’s wife wrote immediately after the news of her husband’s death.

Honoring The warrior is buried on the alley of the heroes of the Kovel City Cemetery.

Even in his lifetime, Alexander Philo was awarded the Honorary Badge of the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “The Golden Cross”, he was posthumously presented to him by the Combatant Cross.

On September 28, 2023, Presidential Decree Alexander was awarded the Order of Courage of the 3rd degree (posthumously).

On January 25, 2024, by the decision of the Kovel City Council for courage and heroism, revealed in the protection of the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the selfless performance of military duty Alexander Filon was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Kovel” (posthumously).
