Norway allocates nearly $ 640 million for drones for Ukraine

Norway allocates 6.5 billion Norwegian crowns (almost $ 640 million) for the purchase of drones and their technologies from Ukrainian and European manufacturers. This is reported on June 24 by the Norwegian government.

“The drones play a vital role in the struggle of Ukraine for self -defense. They are important for protecting critically important infrastructure and in the frontier. The Norwegian contribution is a significant investment in Ukraine’s ability to carry out the necessary observation and operations with drones, ”said Norway Prime Minister Jonas Gar Star.

In April, Norway officially joined the drone coalition and previously announced plans to strengthen the support of the Ukrainian defense industry and purchase drones for Ukraine. This is the first major package of drones directly in the foreign industry.
