This is stated in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 376.
If it is confirmed that a person has been outside Ukraine continuously more than 90 calendar days, an additional check is carried out. In case of establishing the fact of departure to a permanent residence abroad – a certificate of registration of IDPs may be withdrawn.
At the same time, exceptions are stated in the resolution. Until the 90-day period, no days are credited:
- business trip;
- treatment or rehabilitation;
- healing of children;
- internships abroad.
Also, the days of stay abroad are not taken into account for the following reasons:
- death of family or relatives;
- care of a sick child up to 18 years;
- stay in hospitals, judicial or law enforcement agencies.
All of these circumstances must be documented – in particular, the invitation of the receiving party or other official documents.
If the IDP certificate was withdrawn, but the person returned to Ukraine, it can be renewed – on the basis of a personal statement.
