NATO intelligence shows that Russian leader Vladimir Putin believes in the ability of the Russian army to achieve a breakthrough, and therefore will strengthen the attacks, despite the loss.

The Alliance believes that the Russian leader Putin, adopting a strategy of action, is guided by false information, and therefore his expectations from the summer campaign are much larger.

“He really thinks that he wins, but it is based on false information he receives. Based on this, Ukrainians should expect a difficult summer,” the official said. “There will be pressure throughout the front line and it looks like it will grow, so I talk about a difficult summer for Ukraine,” he added.

However, NATO does not believe that Russia will be able to achieve the goals. “In general, the main restraining factor for Russia is that it does not have sufficient reserves that are needed to achieve a breakthrough,” the Alliance’s representative explained.
