Merz: Russia does not demonstrate the desire for peace, it understands “only the language of power”

“Putin only understands the language of power. This is why peacekeeping also means communicating in this language ””, – WRITE: www.radiosvoboda.org

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Russia does not demonstrate the desire for peace, it understands “only the language of power.”

“A strong peace for Ukraine requires the will of all parties. With a new wave, Russia has clearly made it clear that it did not have it. Putin understands only the language of power. That is why peacekeeping also means communication in this language, ”Merz said in the Bundestag, the Lower House of Parliament of Germany, on the eve of his visit to the Hague to NATO Summit.

He also acknowledged that Berlin was wrong about Russia’s assessment.

“For too long, in Germany, we refused to listen to the warning of our Baltic neighbors on Russia’s imperialist policy. We have recognized this mistake. There is no way back from this awareness, ”said German Chancellor.
