The Korolevsky District Court of Zhytomyr agreed with the prosecutor’s arguments and removed Sergei Orlyuk from the post of mayor of Berdichev in the case of receiving undue benefits.

Orlyuk is suspected of bribery for the approval of temporary trade structures in the community. According to the investigation, the official initiated the consideration and lobbies the interests of the entrepreneur at meetings of the working group and the executive committee, and subsequently personally signed the decision on the placement of stops in certain locations. For two permissions, the mayor allegedly received $ 2,000 bribe.
The court’s resolution on the removal of Orlyuk shall enter into force immediately.
