President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that NATO’s accession to NATO is needed. However, as of today, such membership is not possible.

Zelensky said this in an interview with Sky News.

For NATO members today, the proposal to have an ally such as Ukraine with NATO weapons, with new technologies that are not yet available to partners, is profitable, Zelensky said.

“This is the intensification of NATO,” the President said.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainians have been over the back of the experience of war.

“It’s not just about the battlefield. It is an economy, it is survival, it is cyberattacks, it is a banking system, the energy sector, ”he added.

Therefore, Ukraine’s membership in NATO is “it is a mutual opportunity and a need and NATO needed Ukrainians.”

At the same time, Zelensky acknowledged that as of today, Ukraine could hardly become a member of NATO.

“It is not possible today,” the President said.

We will remind, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will visit the Council of Europe for the first time on June 25 in Strasbourg. During his visit, he will make the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the press service of the organization said.

Recall that the Russian Federation is actively increasing the production of artillery shells, drones and missiles. Production volumes will soon exceed demand, even taking into account the Ukrainian Front, which can indicate a possible offensive on NATO countries. The economic models of Bloomberg Economics show that in the case of a full -scale war of Russia against Europe, the losses of world GDP will be up to $ 1.5 trillion.
