Klimenko added that 17 people have been saved and the search is still ongoing.
“We have an appeal from our citizens, for at least two people missing, at least in this place, in this five -storey building, 6 people whose bodies have been debtoned at the moment,” Klimenko said.
According to him, rescuers have already dismantled the blockages from 3 to 5 floors. Currently, the second floor is being disassembled, where there may be still the bodies of the dead.
The minister said it was necessary to reach the basement of a house that has been punched.
“The basement is also partially littered with reinforced concrete structures. The explosion was so strong that we see cut cars for 200-300 m from here, as well as houses where windows were flying,” Klimenko stressed.
The press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office a little later said that 7 people and five men were killed in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The youngest victim is a 22-year-old girl, detailed in the prosecutor’s office.
