The newly appointed Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko called his priorities in office. There will be no traditional ritual of presenting him by the President of Ukraine.

“First, the President of Ukraine is on a business trip today, resolves the issues that are really important to our country at the international level, in particular those concerning the strengthening of our protection-all Ukrainians, the whole state. This is a priority that does not need explanation. Secondly, we do not waste time on empty formalities and move away from Soviet habits. Instead of bureaucracy – actions and decisions. Instead of celebrations – responsibility. This is a sign of change and a systematic approach to work, which we implement from the first day, ”he stressed.
Kravchenko outlined his priorities in office:
• strengthening the role of the prosecutor’s office as the chief coordinator of the work of law enforcement agencies in the field of combating crime and the functioning of the criminal justice system as a whole;
• ensuring real trust in the prosecutor’s office both from our society, the public, and from our international partners;
• control over the legality of budget use, zero tolerance to corruption in any area;
• creation of conditions for further implementation of effective guarantees of protection of rights and legitimate interests of business;
• ensuring justice in every criminal proceedings and, first and foremost, those concerning the national security of the state;
• personal control over the effectiveness of criminal proceedings concerning the encroachment on the life and health of children and minors;
• inevitability of punishment for criminals both in national courts and at the international level, and special emphasis on the crimes of aggression and war crimes, as well as establishing the personal responsibility of each military criminal.
“Thank you for your trust,” he added.
