The list includes, in particular, related to the Russian banking sector Yuri and Yegor Karas. Among the companies that have been sanctioned because of the “strategic importance for the Government of Russia” is the Metallurg Society, Orion Star Group.
The British company Rosneft Marine, which is part of the Russian Rosneft (Rosnafta), was also under sanctions. The grounds for sanctions were that the company cooperates with the Government of Russia, in particular in the energy sector.
According to international media, Britain has also imposed sanctions against 20 ships. According to data Reutersincluding oil tankers and ships related to the sea economy and supply of goods to Russia, including electronics.
At the end of May Sweden reported new rules, aimed at combating the so -called “shadow fleet” of Russia – a tanker network used to bypass international sanctions on exports of Russian oil.
