According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ukraine expects greater determination from partners.

“Before us is an important month. The month of pressure on the aggressor. A month of full diplomatic mobilization, full involvement of diplomacy in order to approach a just and sustained peace for Ukraine,” the diplomat said.
According to him, the main task of this month is to limit Russia’s ability to produce weapons.
“The next month should be a month of pressure on Russia. Pressure. Adoption of new sanction packages – both at the EU level and at the level of national governments. If Putin and his associates boldly reject peaceful efforts, reject the truce, reject everything – they have to suffer destructive economic blows.
The minister added that it was first and foremost about reducing the ceiling of the price of oil, increasing secondary sanctions, closing the ways of bypassing restrictions and accessing the Russian Federation to components for weapons.
“We are awaiting our partners. Especially from the United States. All these actions must be coordinated. We have the EU and its Member States, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. These are the largest economies of the world and the country, which are the most preschool and painful.”
Sibiga assured that the Russian economy is close to recession, and all the “bravura statements” of Russian officials only confirm this and the presence of constant problems.
“It is necessary to strengthen the control over the fulfillment of already introduced restrictions, to impose so -called” secondary sanctions. ”
According to the Foreign Minister, it is also necessary to impose sanctions against anyone who helps Russia to bypass them. He added that the relevant work is already being carried out, and also emphasized the largest countries that import Russian oil.
“It is the funds from oil exports that is now the main source of income for financing the Russian military machine. Therefore, we will direct every effort to stop the export of Russian oil with a” shadow fleet “to those countries that buy it most,” Sibiga assured.
Sanctions against the Russian Federation – the latest newsAs UNIAN wrote, earlier the US Senate has postponed strict sanctions against Russia. According to the media, the main reason was the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran.
Also, new tax initiatives from the Republican Party were another reason to postpone the consideration of the bill. At the same time, one of the authors of the Law of Lindsey Graham stressed that Iran is now in the spotlight, but that does not mean that he has forgotten about the Russian Federation or Ukraine.
At the same time, on June 17, Britain announced new sanctions against Russia. In particular, four individuals, six legal entities and 20 ships, including oil tankers, were restricted. Also, the sanctions package included marine transport companies and suppliers of goods to Russia – in particular, electronics.
It is known that the country has already imposed sanctions against more than 2300 individuals, legal entities and ships within the framework of sanctions against Russia since the beginning of invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
