For more than two years, there was no information about Tyanovsky, he was in full isolation. Svetlana’s wife, son of Cornius and daughter Agnii were waiting for him.
Prehistory:
- In 2019, Sergei Tikhanovsky created a country for life, he traveled to regions, recorded an interview with local residents who spoke openly about problems, criticized power and officials.
- In 2020, Tyanovsky announced his intention to run for president. But even before the election campaign, he was detained. The documents were submitted by his wife – the current leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tyanovskaya.
- In 2021, Tyanovsky was sentenced to 18 years of colonies of a strict regime under four political articles, in particular for organizing mass riots and incitement of hostility. Later, the term was increased by another one and a half years due to the alleged disobedience of the colony administration. Tyanovsky did not admit the guilt and refused to cooperate with the investigation.
