At the center of the plot is a young girl Agnes, with a sharp mind, a good sense of humor and habitual life worries. However, a few years ago, something bad happened to Agnes. Among the everyday affairs, meetings and work – the girl tries to understand what happened and how to handle it. “Sometimes you think about the abyss, sometimes no,” Agnes says a random passerby, “that life goes.”
The film has become a full-length director for Franco-American director and actress Eva Victor, who herself plays a major role in a tape based on her own experience.
Also in the tape they played Naomi Aki (“Mickey 17”, “Clips twice”), Lucas Gedzes (“Lady Berd”, “Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri”), John Carol Lynch (“Judgment of the Chicago Seven”, “Zodiac”) and others.
The film was produced by the Oscar Prize winner, director Barry Jenkins (Muffas, Moonlight).
The tape became a sensation at this year’s Independent Cinema Festival, after which the movie was included in the program “Two -week directors” of the Cannes Festival, which is unprecedented, because Cannes usually include only the first premieres in their programs. In Ukraine, the premiere of the tape was held at the Auditor Cinema Festival in Chernivtsi in June 2025, where she had already received ovation and positive feedback from the audience.
Currently, an IMDB movie rating is 7.7 out of 10 points, while on Rotten Tomatoes, it received 96% of critics based on 53 reviews. At the same time, at Metacritic, movie experts rated it at 88 out of 100 points on the basis of 12 reviews, which corresponds to the characteristics of “universal recognition”.
