As part of the final tour of the group stage of the European Championship-2025 (U-21) in Slovakia national team Ukraine gave way to the Netherlands and completed its performances at the tournament.

“A very difficult game. We knew the level of the opponent. We also understood that we either go home or go home. So, it was difficult from the beginning. The result is not the one we expected. I think that Ukraine started the game well. We tried to improve our game level and reduce the opponent’s level, so we have started. More or less we have coped well.

Lack of a brown? We have football players on the field, we cannot think about those who are not here. It is very important for us and all players – even without it, you need to play good football. But, of course, Brazhko is an important football player for us.

I think we showed the best game in the second half, many of them corrected. The last third of the field requires something extra that we did not show. But yes, even at the best moment of the match, we missed the second goal. But we continued, I saw a good reaction from the players. For example, Taras Mikhavko tried a lot, he is an important player for us. We need to learn from this match.

Vanata replacement? A lot has fallen on this tournament – playing three matches in a row, all in the starting lineup. He came from the national team, there is not enough time to recover. So we replaced it because we worry.

As for the euro results, I can summarize the whole process – the qualification was very good. Here in the match with the Danes we had a chance, we were very good in the first half and deserved more. But there are things that need to be corrected. Sometimes small things affect the outcome of the game. In the match with Finns was a good first half, and in the second – did not realize counterattack.

And today in the first half, the Netherlands were better, but we had a chance. But we were not murderous in the last third of the field.
