“Life after Scars”: 1+1 Ukraine will show a unique project on reintegration of veterans into civilian life

This is a project about Ukrainian veterans and veterans who have returned from the war and learn to live on a daily basis. In each episode, the characters will share their stories on how to find the strength and motivation to develop and build a business, to take small but confident steps for a new life.

“Life after Scars” The first television project in Ukraine, which frankly and systematically speaks of the challenges faced by our defenders after the front. Work, health, family, self -esteem, adopting a new self – in every issue will not only make problems, but also look for real solutions with experts.

It shows how combat experience can be transformed into creativity, and business in the way of helping brothers. Veteran Taras Sasovsky lost both feet in Bakhmut. Nevertheless, he returned to sports and reached incredible: he won international competitions, performing an exercise that is considered almost impossible without limbs. Taras now also heads a veteran hub, supporting others in the way of recovery. Gennady Azzheurov worked for about 30 years in the police. During the advance of the enemy, Mariupol was captured. After his release, he completely changed his field of activity, mastering a new profession at 55 years.

The purpose of “Life after Scars” on “1+1 Ukraine” is to help. And those who have already passed the war and those who are nearby: families, friends, colleagues, employers. The project will tell you how to support veterans in everyday life, how to adapt a work environment, how to listen and hear. The leader of the project was the TSN correspondent Elena Gushchik, who will help the heroes say what they are usually silent.

'Life after Scars': 1+1 Ukraine will show a unique project on reintegration of veterans into civilian life“Life after Scars” is a large -scale social initiative 1+1 Media, designed to help veterans and veterans on the way of returning to civilian life, as well as systematize the unique experience of Ukrainian employers in cooperation with this target audit. The initiative is based on more than 10 years of relevant experience of 1+1 media in communication with veterans and includes a variety of formats: Etra-name program of the same name 1+1 Ukraine and Kyivstar TV, special projections, headings on dozhital platforms, thematic partnerships with Ukrainian businesses.

The project has already received international recognition by winning European Excellence Awards 2024 and Brilliance Awards 2024.
