The law enforcement officer and his accomplice were accused of selling confidential restricted information, which was used to prepare the murder of the former First Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the law enforcement officer passed the personal data of the former government official, including the address of his residence and family members, from Kiev. In the future, this information was used by customers to organize an attempt.
The story originates in October 2024. Then a woman died after an accident at the Kiev hospital. The replacement was an anesthesiologist who simultaneously held the position of First Deputy Minister of Health. The acquaintances of the deceased decided that he was to blame for her death, and they planned revenge.
Law enforcement officers managed to prevent the crime at the stage of its preparation. In January, SBU and the National Police detained two suspects – residents of the Kiev region, who for several months monitored the victim and prepared for the attempt. They were trained in a private dash and also tried to buy weapons in the black market. They were detained during the transfer of funds for firearms.
Currently, both defendants in the leakage of information have been declared suspicion of unauthorized sale of restricted data. They face up to 2 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
