“According to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the decision on the start of the campaign was made personally by the President of the Russian Federation, and for coordination of actions of officials and the instant“ response ”of the Russian media is responsible one of the first deputies of the AP of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the campaign is obvious – to provoke the indignation of Ukrainian society (military and their families) by the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, to demoralize society, at the same time discrediting Ukraine before the international community, as a party that does not comply with the commitments, ”the message reads.
According to the SZR, the campaign is planned to be intentionally released in the media by “distorted (false) lists of allegedly identified by the Russians of the dead Ukrainian military and civilians.” In this way, the Kremlin hopes to “provoke a wave of panic and indignation in Ukrainian society and to shift responsibility for the Ukrainian authorities for crimes,” the message reads.
The intelligence noted that the culmination of the campaign is scheduled for the last days of exchanges (pre -June 20).
On June 2, the delegations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation agreed in Istanbul on new exchanges of prisoners. On June 7, the Assistant to Russian President Vladimir Medinsky, who headed the Russian delegation at a meeting in Istanbul, said that the Ukrainian side “unexpectedly postponed indefinitely and reception of bodies and exchange of prisoners of war.”
In response, the coordination headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war then stated that the date of repatriation of the bodies of the dead Ukrainian military was not agreed. The Center accused the Russian side of manipulations and called on to “stop dirty games.”
