“We Equipment”: President declared “stabilizing the situation” in Sumy direction

In the Sumy direction of the defense force stabilized the situation, said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a briefing.

According to the head of state, no loss of positions has been recorded in the South Slobid direction (Kupyansk, Kharkiv). Zelensky says that the “fierce” battles are near Andreevka, Kindrativka, Oleksiyivka, Konstantinovka and Yunnakovka.

“We align the position. What is important: there are 53 thousand Russians. Fighting there – along the border. You have to understand that the enemy is stopped there. And the maximum depth at which the battles occur from the border 7 km, ”the head of state emphasized.

According to him, Ukrainian troops resumed control over Andreevka on June 14.

In the Luhansk direction, the threat, according to the President, “managed to localize”, and in the direction of Konstantinovka of the Armed Forces are moving along the route.

“There is no enemy promotion there. But there are hard fighting. Dniprovsk region – there are also fighting, there is no advancement today, ”he said.

At the end of May, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia had harvested 50,000 soldiers near Sumy region.

On May 26, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that the Russian army controls four settlements in the border regions: new, Basivka of the Yunakiv Community and Veselivka, Zhuravko of the Khotin Community. Since then, Russia has expanded its control area in the Sumy region.

Before that, on May 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the creation of a “buffer zone” along the border with Ukraine.
