Law enforcement officers reported the suspicion of the official of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian State Center for Radio Frequency”, which, according to the investigation, caused losses of about UAH 1.5 million due to official negligence.
According to Kyiv police, in 2023 the company conducted a tender for the purchase of computer equipment for more than UAH 4 million. As a result of open bidding, a private company with which the relevant contract was concluded.
During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers found that a 47-year-old official, authorized to carry out a procurement procedure, did not check the market value of the equipment before concluding a contract. As a result, a significant overestimation of the price was allowed, which caused significant losses to the state budget.
Under the procedural leadership of the Svyatoshinsky District Prosecutor’s Office, he was declared suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – official negligence. In case of guilt of the suspect, it faces up to five years in prison with a possible restriction of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in appropriate activities for up to three years.
