Within the framework of Istanbul arrangements, on June 12, Ukraine returned another group of defenders from Russian who had severe injuries and have serious illnesses.

The direct language of Zelensky: “Today, at home, the warriors of our army, the National Guards, the Border Guards. Everyone needs treatment, and they will surely be provided with the necessary help. This is the second stage of returning seriously wounded and seriously ill warriors.”

Details: Servicemen of the Armed Forces, including DShV, Navy, Air Force, TO, SBS, as well as the State Border Guard and the National Guard of Ukraine, were returned to their native land.

Among the liberated nowadays are the defenders of Mariupol, who have been held captive for more than three years. All liberated defenders are men, representatives of the ordinary and sergeant.

Some of the Ukrainian soldiers released on Thursday were considered missing.

In general, Ukrainians who fought in Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and Lugansk directions are returning home.

The released defenders will undergo the necessary medical examination, receive assistance in physical and psychological rehabilitation, as well as all the proper payments for all time in captivity.

Prehistory:

• On June 2, Ukraine and the Russian Federation agreed to return “6000 to 6000” bodies of dead soldiers on June 2. Ukrainian and Russian delegations also agreed on the exchange of “all” for all “seriously wounded and young servicemen aged 18 to 25 years.
• On June 9, the 66th exchange of prisoners of war started. The first group of released servicemen under 25 years of age returned to Ukraine from Russia.
• On June 10, Ukraine returned from the Russian captivity a group of defenders who suffered serious injuries and have serious health problems.
• On June 11, according to the results of repatriation measures, the bodies of 1 212 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.
• The coordination stressed that for safety reasons of the operation, the exact number of dismissed persons will be announced after the exchange process is completed.
