Details: According to the prosecutor’s office, in March 2021, the attackers stole the son of entrepreneurs in Odessa. The victim was kept and demanding from his family $ 1 million for his dismissal.

Subsequently, the stolen was transported to Kiev, where law enforcement officers detained the gang and the hostage was released.
Three of the defendants received 10 years in prison, two more – 8 years with confiscation of property. They were sentenced for illegal imprisonment, the abduction of a person and extortion (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 146, Part 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Prior to the sentence, all members of the criminal group were in custody.
