With the onset of summer holidays and activation of the tourist season, a significant increase in passenger traffic through checkpoints in Lviv region is expected to grow with Poland with Poland. The number of travelers will increase to 40% compared to the usual indicators.
This was reported by border guards 7 of the border carpathian detachment.
Krakivtsi and Shehyni checkpoints will be the most loaded checkpoints, especially for leaving Ukraine, border guards say. Instead, Rava-Ruska, Grushev and Ugrinov will have an average load.
Those who want to minimize the time on the road are advised to choose “Nizhankovichi” and “Smilnitsa”, where the slightest load is expected.
As for the optimal time to cross the border:
-
For leaving Ukraine, it is better to choose weekdays, preferably in the morning or late evening hours, when the load is the least.
-
For entry to Ukraine, the best option is weekends.
In addition, large-scale repair and modernization work is ongoing at the Shegin checkpoint. The laying of engineering networks and the dismantling of old road surface temporarily restrict the movement of passenger and freight transport, in particular on departure from Ukraine.
Due to this, the expectation time can increase significantly, added SSSU employees.
Earlier it was reported that at the Shegini checkpoint on the border with Poland, it is possible to slow down the movement of vehicles.
Earlier Denis Shmigal stated that this year planned Further modernization of checkpoints on the western border of Ukraine.
We will remind, the checkpoint for freight transport Bila Tserkva – Sigett Marmotii on the border with Romania plan Run in 2025.
