UNIAN has prepared a selection of main movie films this week – both on large screens and online.

In addition, in the selected cinemas of Ukraine it will be possible to see the premiere shows of game adaptation of adventure fantasy “How to tame a dragon”.
Also, the Ukrainian premiere of Mstislav Chernov’s new movie “2000 meters to Andreevka”, author of Oscar -bearing tape “20 days in Mariupol” will also be held as part of Docudays UA Film Festival.

BallerinaBallerina (USA, 2025, Action/Thriller)
The events of John Uika spinoff take place between the third and fourth films of the main franchise, and in the center of the plot – the hired killer and in combination of professional ballerina Iv Macarro, who wants to take revenge on people who killed her family. The movie will be shown to the audience both the process of preparing the future killer and its hunting for enemies in the future. Earlier, this character had already appeared in the third part of John Uika in the form of a young ballerina who was training to become a murderer.
The main roles in the movie played Ana de Armas (“The one running on the blade 2049”, “Knives Verkra”, “Not time to die”, “Blord”), Sharon Danken-Bruster (“Duna”, “Enola Holmes 2”), Norman Ridus (“Saints)” (“Mreek”, “Man in an Iron Mask”, “Attack on the 13th District”) and David Castalede (series “Ambrella Academy”).

The film is based on real events and tells about the most documented case of exorcism – the expulsion of demons from Emma Schmidt. According to the plot, two priests agree to hold a series of complex exorcisms to save a young girl covered with terrible obsession. However, one of the Holy Fathers has a crisis of faith, and the other is forced to quench the echoes of his own stormy past. Will priests be able to unite in this spooky struggle with the devil?

Although the officially new rethinking of the hit cartoon of the same name of 2010, filmed based on the book of British Children’s writer Kresida Coowell, goes to Ukrainian rental only on June 12, the most impatient viewers will be able to see it since June 7 in the selected cinemas of Ukraine.
At the center of the plot, the events of which take place on the harsh island of Tup, where the Vikings and Dragons have been swept enemies for centuries – a savvy but underestimated son of the leader Stoic, a mighty named Hiccup. Contrary to centuries -old traditions, he dares to make friends with a toothless – a formidable dragon of the Night Furia. Their unexpected alliance reveals the true nature of the dragons, calling into question the foundations of the Viking society.

Docudays UA FestivalFrom June 6 to 13, 2025, the 22nd International Documentary Festival on Human Rights Docudays UA will be held in Kyiv, which traditionally demonstrates documentaries for Ukrainians that open a fresh view of the modern world, analyze it, make an important contribution to the discussion about human dignity, freedom and equality.
Among the main events within the framework of the festival is the Ukrainian premiere of the new movie Mstislav Chernov “2000 meters to Andreevka”, author of the Oscar -bearing tape “20 days in Mariupol”.
Andriyivka – a tiny village ten kilometers from Bakhmut – becomes the arena of fierce fighting during the Ukrainian counter -offensive in 2023. The third assault team from the liberation of the village is separated by only two kilometers of forest strips. But it is littered with mines and the enemy dug here. Fighters who were once ordinary civilians overcome this path, giving hard to every meter of territory to return to Ukraine its land.
The filming began in September 2023, and all the work on the picture took almost 1.5 years. Music was created by a two -time laureate of the Grammy Prize, composer and music producer Sam Slaiter (Chornobyl series, Joker).

The sixth movie of the cult franchise “Predator”, this time animated, tells about the three most dangerous and worst warriors in the history of mankind: Viking, who is trying to teach her son to kill for revenge; Ninja of Feudal Japan, who wants to kill his brother through the legacy; And the pilot of the Second World War, which rises into the sky with a plane to study the other threat, which is a danger to his comrades. But all these heroes, despite their murderary experience, are only a prey for a predator – the absolute killer of killers.
The film was directed by American Dan Trachtenberg, who had previously shot a highly appreciated critics and audiences. He is the director of the next part of the series “Predator: Wild Earth”, which will be released in the cinema rolled in the fall of 2025.
The animated film became available on June 6, 2025 on Hulu.
