An important nuance: for those who already receive a pension, this norm does not matter. After all, such experience will be “conditional”: it will “add” the necessary years, but will not take into account when calculating a pension.

Switching from retirement retirement retirement As explained in the Pension Fund of Ukraine, a pensioner who receives a pension for years of service after reaching the age established by Art. 26 of the Law of Ukraine No. 1058-IV, has the right to go to retirement by age.

“The transfer from one type of pension to another shall be made from the date of submission of the application on the basis of documents on insurance, wages and other documents that are at the time of transfer from one type of pension to another in the pension case, as well as additional documents received by the Pension Fund bodies,” the PFU explained. – If the pensioner has not worked after the pension for years of service, the pension by age will be calculated according to the materials of the pension case, that is, in fact the amount of the pension will not change – only its appearance will change. If, after the pension, the pensioner worked, then when transferred to retirement by age, at his request, the experience and earnings acquired after the appointment of a retirement pension will increase, that is, the insurance ratio and the individual wage ratio will increase. ”

The application for a pension can be submitted online – through the webport of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Supplement to working pensioners in three months As we wrote earlier, in April, the amount of pension payments for persons who continue to work was listed. Pensions were transferred to 630 thousand working pensioners who had 24 months of insurance service as of March 2025.

The recalculation took place on April 1, but the increased payments to the recipients will be received in June, including the surcharge for April and May. The fact is that the recalculation was conducted after the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance received information on the payment of a single contribution for the 1st quarter of 2025, where the period of reporting – until May 10.

Age -old surcharges In June 2025, Ukrainians who have reached certain age boundaries (70, 75 and 80 years) will be paid:

• up to 570 UAH – people over 80;
• up to 456 UAH-people aged 75-80;
• up to 300 UAH-people aged 70-75 years.

In order to receive such a surcharge, a person must receive a pension by age not exceeding 10 340.35 UAH. This allowance is appointed automatically, no additional appeal is required.
