“The partners have asked me whether Ukrainian companies can build production in their countries to produce the latest products. Our partners are ready to fully pay for production and products to Ukraine for so long until the war continues,” he explained.
During the discussion, this initiative has been expanded, follows from Umerov’s explanations, and now it is about mutual investments. “According to this initiative, Ukrainian producers can invest partners in the states, and partner companies can build their megafabrics in Ukraine,” the minister said.
Currently, this is a new idea that is still finally agreed. “This initiative does not have an official name, we call it Ramstein-Initiative on Defense Production, but it is a strategic shift,” Umerov’s confidence expressed.
He did not specify which states expressed interest in such investment cooperation, but one of its elements – for production in Ukraine – received public support for the German Defense Minister Borys Pistorius, who spoke for the production of long -range weapons in Ukraine.
