The professional career of the player for Sergiy began at a young age when he joined Shakhtar Donetsk in the 1990/91 season. In the first season, the Ukrainian striker participated in 26 matches and scored 12 goals.
After a successful campaign, Rebrov went to Dynamo Kyiv for $ 150,000. In total, Sergei spent eight seasons (1992-2000) in the Dynamo T-shirt, having won six champions and cups of Ukraine, and was recognized as the best player in the country three times.
The next stop in the attacker’s career was the English Tottenham, to which Sergei moved in 2000 for £ 11 million. He scored the debut goal in the new team in a duel against Ipswich.
In the first season, the spurs played 36 matches in all tournaments and scored 12 goals, becoming an indispensable player of the starting composition. The situation has changed after the appointment of a new head coach – Glenna Khoddla, with whom the Ukrainian did not find a common language.
On the right of lease, Rebrov went to Turkish Fenerbahche, and later became a full -fledged West Hema player. It was not possible to play in the English Club of the English Club, because of which in 2005 he returned to Dynamo, in which he spent three more seasons.
After long negotiations with the leadership of the Kiev Club in early 2008, the Rebrov’s contract was not extended. Already on March 6, Sergei became a full -fledged player of the Russian Rubina, which played only one season.
On July 20, 2009, Sergei Rebrov officially declared the player’s career and the beginning of coaching. On the same day, he was appointed as an assistant coach of the duplicate composition of Dynamo Kyiv.
As a part of the national team of Ukraine, Ribrov spent 75 matches, scored 15 goals and gave two goals.
At the club level, Zavarov spent 575 matches, scored 205 goals, gave 89 assistants and won 20 trophies:

- Super Bowl of Ukraine
- Turkey Championship
- Russian Championship
At the end of September 2012, Rebrov became an assistant of the head coach “Kyivans” – Oleg Blokhin, and on May 18, 2014 he headed the team.
In 2015, Sergei, together with the team, won the Championship and the Cup of Ukraine. The following season, Rebrov became the first coach after Lobanovsky, who brought Dynamo in the Champions League playoffs.
The next clubs on the Ukrainian coaching path were Al-Agli, Ferencvaros and Al-Ain.
A truly new challenge for Sergiy was the opportunity to head the national team of Ukraine. On June 7, 2023, Sergei officially became the head coach of the national team. On June 12, 2023, he held a debut match in the helm of the team as a coach against Germany (3: 3).

At present, Rebrov, together with the national team, is preparing for a friendly tournament in Canada, which will be held from June 7 to June 10.
