This was noted by the Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association Andriy Konechenkov, adding that the Ministry of Energy agrees that such benefits are necessary.
“Last night I received letters, a correspondence between ministries, finances and economics regarding the exemption from the taxation of the import of wind turbine. The sun, biomass, hydraulic, cogeneration are released, and the wind is blocked,” Konechenko said.
“The Ministry of Finance believes that the state will lose big money on taxes, although everyone knows that VAT is still returning a company that imported wind turbines a little later, and this does not affect the budget in any way,” he added during the Conference of the Analytical Center We Build Ukraine “Green Energy for Reconstruction.
According to him, wind power has been almost a year since June 2024, it has begun to release from the taxation of equipment, but there is no result, and this is one of the reasons for the inhibition of the development of this sector.
“The only positive thing that we are supported by the Ministry of Energy, because he wants to develop wind power,” Konechenko said.
According to Olga Savchenko, a senior partner of Altello, Ukraine should continue and expand existing tax incentives for importing equipment for energy, as this accelerates the development of green energy.
