After the historical triumph in the Italian Cup, the first for 51 years, Bologna returned to her native Renato Dal’ara to hold the last match of the season. The atmosphere in the stands was truly festive-players and coaching staff were welcomed. But on the field, this sublime mood did not produce: the owners gave way to Genoa with a score of 1: 3.

Although Bologna dominated the number of beats (15: 5), the realization has failed. Guests, on the contrary, were as effective as possible. 18-year-old Matteo Venturino made a double, and Vitigna opened the score with a beautiful blow from outside the penalty area. The only ball of the owners scored Orsolini – technically treated the ball with his head and punched into the crossbar and in the grid.

The final part of the championship was difficult for Bologna – only one victory in the last eight matches of the series A. The team risks to end the season even outside the European Cup zone. Instead, Genoa has completed the championship in 13th place and can boldly bring the season to the asset. Ruslan Malinovsky, because of injury, did not participate in the match.
