As a result, Volz’s correspondence data with more than 60 US government representatives – from customs officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps to at least one White House employee and members of the US Secret Service – were included in the network.
The materials that Reuters were introduced to correspondence during the day of May 4 and, at first glance, did not contain secret information. At the same time, the contact data of the correspondence participants could be established.
The White House in a comment to Reuters stated that he “knows about cybersecurity incident” related to Telemessage, but did not specify how the platform was used in the administration.
