For money transferred the military to the rear units: DBR detained the head of the VLK of one of the parts of the STSU

Law enforcement officers detained the Colonel of the Medical Service-the chairman of the Military Medical Commission of one of the medical institutions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, who, according to the investigation, transferred military personnel from the areas of fighting to the rear units for bribes.

Literally DBR: “It is established that the Colonel of the Medical Service organized a scheme of bribes for assistance in the transfer of servicemen from the hostilities to the rear units.”

Details: According to preliminary information, the official offered the border guards who arrived at the VLK, “assistance” with the registration of medical documents. It was a recognition restricted for service, the appointment of health vacations or treatment for treatment – without medical grounds.

The price of such services ranged from several thousand hryvnias to several thousand dollars, depending on the complexity of “solving the issue”.

The operatives detained the attacker while receiving another bribe. The searches seized the documentation confirming illegal decisions regarding specific military.

The officer was informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code (receiving an undue benefit by an official). The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation is ongoing. The involvement of other members of the VLK is checked. The procedural guidance is carried out by the specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Central Region.
