This is stated in the draft Ministry of Social Policy, published on the site of the trade unions for discussion.
The project of the act proposes to reform the system of support for families in the period before and after the birth of the child, in particular:
- to provide pre -existent support for pregnant women (at 100 % of wages insured and 7000 UAH uninsured);
- advocate a one -time payment of 50,000 UAH for all women who gave birth to a baby;
- to provide women with the help of recovery after childbirth in the amount that will be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers after adopting the project;
- to provide one of the parents of the child (guardian, grandparents or another relative who actually carries out the care of the child) assistance to care in the amount determined by the Cabinet of Ministers;
- To provide assistance for the care of the child “Eyasla” to one of the parents (guardian), if the parents went to work after reaching the child 1 year, in the amount determined by the Cabinet of Ministers after adopting the project of the act.
At the same time, at the birth of a child is issued a disposable natural help “Baby Package”.
Eyasla’s child care provides for the cost of childcare care services provided by pre -school institutions, legal entities and natural persons – entrepreneurs who carry out educational activities in the field of preschool education, in order to support families and assistance in combination and care.
In addition, the bill provides for students’ package “Package of the Student” – one -time financial assistance, which is paid for the acquisition of the necessary school supplies (stationery), books, children’s clothing and shoes to meet the basic needs for the educational process.
“The above steps will increase the support of families with children and will encourage parents to employ, as well as stimulate the development of a network of private preschool education institutions,” the document said.
Currently, childbirth assistance in Ukraine is 41 280 UAH. Payment of assistance is made once in the amount of 10320 UAH, the rest of the amount of assistance is paid for the next 36 months in equal parts.
