Danish Wedding Pedersen for the first time in 19 years won 3 out of 5 stages on D’italiy’s Jiro

Danish team Lidl Trek MADS Pedersen won the fifth stage of Giro D’itali-2025. Today, on May 14, riders overcame 151 km of humpback distance from Chelee Messapika to the mother with a finish in a small lift.

Pedersen in Finishing Sprint was ahead of Italian Edooard Dambanini from the team Bahrain Victorious and British Tom Spring with Q36.5. For Danz, this is the third victory on the current Jiro. He became the first racer since Robbie Mcjuen in 2006, who won 3 victories in the first 5 stages of Giro.

Pedersen, thanks to this victory, strengthened his leadership in the overall standings of Giro. Of his closest pursuer, Roglich’s priest from Red Bull Borahe is now ahead of 17 seconds.
