Details: He added that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will go to Turkey, even if the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will give up direct contact.
“It will be a clear signal for the whole world: Moscow does not want peace, is not ready for serious negotiations,” Yermak said.
“We are grateful to Steve Vitcoff for the constructive conversations and understanding that the ceasefire is a logical step. Also grateful to President Trump for a clear message: if Putin does not want peace – Ukraine will receive more than it can imagine,” Yermak said.
He believes that if Putin does not come to Turkey, it should be the impetus for action. In particular, the introduction of a US package from Senator Lindsey Graham and new EU sanctions that should hit the Russian energy and finances.
“30 days of silence are not a military advantage, but an opportunity to start the process: delegations, monitoring, transparency. And it is the US that has the potential to realize it,” Yermak stressed.
He added that Ukraine is negotiating with Europe on the purchase of air defense, and already has “the first real results of the volunteer coalition.”
