Shmigal: Ukraine will attract 35 million euros from EIB in support of small and medium -sized businesses

Ukraine will receive financial assistance from the European Investment Bank in support of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said on May 13.

According to him, the government has made a decision to improve the availability of lending.

“Up to 20 million euros, which we receive from the European Investment Bank, will be directed to support medium- and long-term loans for Ukrainian business through state Privatbank,” he said.

Another 15 million euros, according to the head of government, Ukraine will attract from the EIB on lending to small and medium -sized businesses through the state “Ukreximbank”.

Schmigal expects that this package of assistance will provide for Ukrainian entrepreneurs “resource for development, investment and growth”.

In April, the Government has reported that The European Investment Bank provides Ukraine is 300 million euros to restore energy and critical infrastructure.
