According to him, as of 11:00 on May 12, 34 cases of hepatitis A infection were recorded in Kyiv, and 20 children were contaminated. 26 patients were hospitalized, including 15 children.
Chumak said that the infection has not spread outside the Solomenskiy district.
Experts conduct an epidemiological investigation to determine the causes of outbreak.
“When the first reports of infection were received, water samples were immediately selected in pump rooms and educational establishments, since there are many children among patients. There were no deviations from sanitary standards both by chemical and bacteriological and virological indicators.
