The attacker published a message calling for a fake site on a fake site. Users who tried to warn others about fraud were blocked or restricted in chat.
“The fracture of the moderator account allowed the attacker to publish phishing references in one of the channels,” the incident commented Ledger Quentin Bouthrite.
The team promptly removed the bot, which sent a message, blocked the broken account and strengthened the safety of the server.
“We have increased security in Discord. Never enter your Sid-Phrase at the links from the chats, ”Boatrit said.
This is not the first case of fraudulent attacks on Ledger users. Previously, the company’s clients began to receive paper sheets with the Ledger logo and the requirement to introduce the Sid-Phrase to verify the address.
