Mikey Goodman performed a cover on The Smalest Church in Saint -Saëns / Photo – ZA / UMMikey Goodman – the voice of Harry Duba and all his personalities of Disco Elysium, suddenly appeared on stage with the British Indie Sea Power, authors of the soundtrack to the game.
He performed The Smalest Church in Saint-Saëns, a cult song from a side karaoke quest, and not only sang it, but completely transformed into the main character. It had a green jacket from the game, the pants of the flare and, of course, a terrible tie, the character he also voiced.
The video, which Gudman posted in Tiktok, shows him on the stage, starting from the characteristic, deep voice of the ancient reptile brain, one of Harry’s personalities, who communicates with him throughout the game. It is one of the eight inner voices that Gudman voiced.
He later appeared on stage again, reading the introductory replicas of the reptile brain in Spoken Word format, like intro to one of the songs of Sea Power.
Gudman has long combined acting and music: he was a participant progressing-metal band Sikth and has repeatedly experimented with theatrical performances on the musical stage. But he confessed that it was this episode that became the first truly acting speech for him: “I thought:” You know, this is my first true theatrical way on the stage. Although I just sing a song, it’s actually a performance. ”
As for The Smalte Church in Saint -Saëns is a stylized version of the track Sea Power the Smalest Church in Sussex, with a reference to the name in the title. In Disco elysium, the song becomes a powerful emotional point: depending on success, Harry either sings it with a confident voice of the reptile brain, or breaks into a painful falset of the limbic system. Both voices are good.
