“As soon as we invited the Ambassador of Hungary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and handed him a corresponding note,” Sibiga said.
The Foreign Minister stressed that Ukraine acts in response to the actions of Hungary, based on the principle of reciprocity and national interests
It is known that on Friday, the Security Service of Ukraine stated that it exposed the agent network of military intelligence of Hungary, which carried out espionage activity in Transcarpathia – in particular “touched the soil” on the moods of local residents and their response to the potential appearance in the region of “Hungarian peacekeeps”.
At first, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto said that Budapest did not receive official reports from Kiev about the exposed network of Hungarian spies, and mentioned “anti -Hungarian propaganda”.
But a few hours later, Budapest stated that he was opening two Ukrainian diplomats, accusing them of espionage.
The Hungarian authorities also state that Ukraine’s statement on exposing the reconnaissance network of Hungary in its territory testifies to the cooperation of Kyiv and the Tisa Opposition Party.
