During the visit, the final approval of the creation of the International Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine will be held – the so -called Tribunal for Putin and other high -ranking officials of the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the high representative of the EU in Kai Callas Foreign Affairs on the results of the informal session of the EU foreign ministers in Warsaw on May 8, European Pravda reports.
“Tomorrow we will give the final political approval to the creation of a tribunal for war crimes, crimes of aggression. There will be no impunity. There will be responsibility for the crimes, ”Kai Callas said.
“The main group has reached the technical level of how this tribunal will be created. We now also have approval at the political level. So this will be done by the Council of Europe. The Secretary General of the Council of Europe will join us tomorrow on video communication, ”she added.
Earlier it was reported that the meeting of foreign ministers of dozens of countries, as well as the leaders of Ukraine and the Council of Europe will be held on May 9 in Lviv.
The special tribunal, which is planned to create event countries for consideration of Russian aggression against Ukraine, will not consider the case of Russian leader Vladimir Putin in absentia. It is impossible until he remains in the post of president.
