After ratification by the Verkhovna Rada, the agreement on the use of Ukrainian minerals will be possible to conclude the rest of the related agreements with the United States. The Ministry of Economy is expected to adopt them next week.
The participants of the negotiation group from Ukraine reported this during communication with journalists, Ukrinform reports.
“This Agreement makes it possible to conclude all other agreements that we were talking about, and we will be very pleased to go to discuss all other documents in formats or parliamentary control or media dialogue after completing domestic procedures,” said Deputy Minister of Economy – Taras Kachka.
On the clarifying question of the terms of consideration of the Limited Partnership Agreement and other documents provided for by the Law of Ukraine today, the first Viceremier -Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko added that she was expecting their finalization next week.
“On Monday to Tight, I hope they will be finalized and, accordingly, signed on both sides. I hope it will be two agreements at once, because there is an interest in the US side to finalize all the formalities and make the fund operating, ”Sviridenko said.
She thanked the People’s Deputies for their support and promptness in the adoption of the Law on Ratification of the Agreement. In his turn, Duck called today’s decision of Parliament a success, which testifies to the trust in the government by the people’s deputies.
“It’s really a success. I am very glad that Parliament trusts us, trusts the government, trusts the document that is. And this, in fact, was our key method of negotiation, ”the Deputy Minister said.
We will remind, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on May 8 supported the ratification of the subsoil agreement between Ukraine and the United States – 338 deputies from all factions and groups voted for the appropriate decision.
Signed on May 1, 2025, the Agreement between Ukraine and the United States on mineral cooperation does not violate EU legislation and will not interfere with the European integration aspirations of Ukraine.
