“Neutral teams that will consist of athletes, which the executive committee has granted neutral status, will be allowed to participate in the FIE team competitions among adults, starting with the European Championship in 2025. Neutral teams will be under the FIE flag,” the organization said.
Earlier in international tournaments, the Russians had the right to participate in personal competitions, allowed Russian teams among juniors.
Recall, at the World Cup 2023 Ukrainian Shablist Olga Harlan was disqualified because she did not shake her hand Anna Smirnova, which she defeated at the start of the tournament (15: 7).
The representative of Ukraine filed an appeal. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was even publicly respected. Subsequently, the disqualification was still canceled.
