Boris Pistorius will remain on the post of the Minister of Defense.

Boris Pistorius preserved one of the most important positions in terms of military assistance. He remained the Minister of Defense of the country. Pistorius himself supports Ukraine in the war, and also several times made official visits to our country.
For the stay of Boris Pistorius as Minister of Defense, Ukraine received several military assistance packages from Germany, including Patriot, Iris-T, Leopard 2 tanks and more.
The post of German Foreign Minister was occupied by Johann Vadeful (replaced by Annalen Berbbok). He also supports Ukraine in the war launched by Russia. After the scandalous meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and the United States in the White House, the deputy leader of the CDS-HSS party emphasized that free Europe would not betray the Ukrainian state.

It is worth noting that the new head of the German Foreign Ministry has already spoken with Ukrainian colleague Andriy Sibiga – at the end of April. He promised that the next government of Germany will retain and strengthen Ukraine’s support.
Changing power in Germany: No problemOn May 6, the Chancellor Friedrich Merz was not able to approve the first attempt. It is noteworthy that this happened for the first time in the history of Germany.
The leader of the Christian Democratic Union gained 310 votes of 316 required. And this is despite the fact that together CDU/CSS and SDPN, which are combined into a coalition, have 328 seats in parliament.
Later, the vote was successful. Merz gained 325 votes of parliamentarians from 316 required.
