There he is going to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, as well as discuss the war in Ukraine, writes O Globo.
The publication shared that the purpose of the trip is to position Brazil as a mediator to achieve peace between Ukraine and Russia. Lula da Silva also wants to signal Brazilian foreign policy on other major countries of the world.
It is noted that in Moscow Lula da Silva intends to inform Putin that Brazil wants to take an active part in the conclusion of a peace agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. He used to urge both parties to participate in any negotiations to reach peace.
In addition, the publication noted that Lula Da Silva was going to take part in a military parade in Moscow on May 9.
