Details: Duda’s comments reflect the hopes of many European leaders who have hope for Trump to use his influence on Moscow, since his pressure is now mainly directed to Ukraine.
Trump, in particular, stated that Ukraine would not become a member of NATO, and also offered peaceful options that envisaged the recognition of Crimea in part of Russia.
Since his return to major politics, Trump has repeatedly stated the ability to complete the war between Russia and Ukraine in 24 hours. Within this strategy, he sent his representative Steve Vitcoff to Moscow for negotiations, but these meetings did not reduce the Russian requirements.
