The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court decided to take the former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Smirnov.

Andriy Smirnov is suspected of legalizing illegally acquired funds and receiving a bribe in a particularly large amount.
According to the investigation, in 2019-2021 he illegally received a considerable amount of cash, which he decided to legalize due to the construction of private homes of more than 300 square meters in the recreational zone of Odessa region.
Detectives also found that the owner of a construction company offered Smirnova bribe in the form of works and services worth 100 thousand dollars to build one of these homes on the coast.
Earlier, the National Anti -Corruption Bureau, together with the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, declared Smirnov suspicion of illegal enrichment in the amount of UAH 15.7 million. On May 28, 2024, the court had already elected him a precautionary measure – a pledge of 10 million hryvnias, which was made.
However, new circumstances and additional suspicions have led to a precautionary measure and an increase in collateral.
It is worth noting that on March 29, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the dismissal of Andriy Smirnov from the post of deputy head of the Presidential Office.
New deputies were appointed in his place – Elena Kowalskaya and Irina Wise.
Investigative journalistic investigations also indicate that Andrei Smirnov’s brother, Igor Smirnov, in 2023 purchased apartments in an elite new building in Lviv, a land plot in the Carpathians, a parking space in Kiev, as well as several vehicles, including Volkswagen Multivan, BMW and motorcycle.
We will remind, the anti -corruption bodies of Ukraine reported a new suspicion for Andriy Smirnov, former deputy head of the Presidential Office. He is charged with the legalization of illegally acquired funds and receiving a bribe in a particularly large amount.
