General Staff: There were 253 combatants on the front per day, most in two directions

253 combat clashes were recorded at the front during the last day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning summary on May 4.

Most of the clashes were reported in the Pokrovsky and Novopavlovsky directions.

“In the Pokrovsky direction our defenders stopped 113 attacks of the aggressor in the areas of settlements Stara Nikolaevka, Green Field, Mirolyubivka, Elizabeth, Lisivka, Zelene, Ray, Shevchenko, Oleksandropol, Kotlina, Novosergiyivka, Novoleksandrivka, Troylavka, Troylavka, Troylavka, Troylavka, Troyelivka, Troylavka, Troylakivka, Troy. New Poltavka, Mirolyubivka, Oleksiyivka. In addition, the fighting took place in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Orikhiv, Dnieper and Kursk.

“Yesterday, the enemy struck the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements of two missile and 81 aviation strikes, used two missiles and 158 managed bombs. In addition, he made 6384 shelling, of which 113 were made of rockets of volley fire, and attracted 2760 drones-Kamikadze to defeat, ”the General Staff reported.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

The Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky stated on April 30 that Russian troops significantly increased the intensity of hostilities, focusing basic efforts in the Pokrovsky direction, despite the statement of readiness for a three -day ceasefire in May.
