Zelensky introduced sanctions against Arestovich, Oleshko and dozens of people

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky entered into force the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of May 1, 2025 on the introduction of personal sanctions on a number of public figures, including former freelance adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Alexei Arestovich, political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko and blogger Miroslav.

Details: The annex to decree No. 267/2025 lists 7 citizens of Ukraine who came under sanctions: Alexey Arestovich, Konstantin Bondarenko, Dmitry Vasylets, Miroslav Oleshko, Pavlo Onishchenko, Alexander Semchenko, Alexander Skubchenko.

Russian propagandists Anastasia Kashevrov and Stanislav Bernwald also came under sanations.

Other Decree No. 268 and No. 269 refers to the use of sanctions against 66 people.

Prehistory:

  • On April 11, Zelensky entered into force the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of April 11, 2025 on the introduction of sanctions against Russian propagandists, as well as against the activities of the “shadow fleet” of the Russian Federation.
