They are motivated and have extensive professional experience in various fields of activity. But Ukrainian legislation has restrictions on involving this category of citizens in the service. Our bill empowers these restrictions.”

Details: The document stipulates that during the martial law, with the written consent of the commander of the military unit, the contract may be accepted by citizens aged 60 years of age, which are recognized as suitable for the military-medical commission.
Such contractors will be able to occupy the non -rated positions of ordinary, sergeant or officers, as well as a junior or senior officers (provided they are dismissed from service after January 1, 2015).
The term of the contract for servicemen aged 60+ is one year with the possibility of concluding new contracts. Officers of the appropriate age will be able to sign the contract after the obligatory approval of the candidate with the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The contract for this category of citizens establishes a test for two months. If the military has not passed the probationary term, the contract is broken.
Note: The bill registered 37 MPs in Parliament. The document should now be considered by members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. After that, the decision on the project will be made in the session hall of the Parliament.
The current legislation of Ukraine provides for the mobilization of military people aged 25 to 60 years.
