For 15 years in prison with the confiscation received the FSB agent, who transmitted the occupiers on the defense forces in the border areas of Sumy region.

The attacker tried to identify the places of the greatest concentration of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border region. In particular, to collect the intelligence agent bypassed the terrain and hiddenly recorded the locations of Ukrainian troops on the camera of the phone, pretending he was talking, putting his phone on his ear. Another task was to find potential candidates for recruiting to the FSB agent network, which the enemy planned to create in the region.
SBU staff detained the agent in January 2024 at the place of residence in Sumy during its preparation for a new intelligence output in the North Border.
According to the investigation, the task of the Russians was performed by a 56-year-old resident who was in view of the FSB when he published anti-Ukrainian comments on the classmates.
After remote recruitment, the agent began collecting information required by the enemy to prepare new aviation strikes and attempts to break the sabotage and intelligence groups into the territory of Sumy region.
According to the materials of the SBU, the court found the attacker guilty of four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed in martial law); Part 1 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine); Part 2 of Art. 109 (actions aimed at a violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power); Part 2 of Art. 436-2 (denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine).
